Crafting has a bad rap for being tacky. But where’s the line between tacky and high fashion? It’s all in the mindset. Aleene’s is the backbone of all things crafting, but it’s so much more than that. It needs to break out of the kid’s cabinet and become the artful , avant garde tool that it’s meant to be.
Fun facts:
It took 1000 popsicle sticks, 750 pompoms, 14 spools of yarn, 500 craft feathers, 100 googly eyes, 75 tissue paper flowers, 100 pipe cleaners, 25 felt flowers, and an ungodly amount of glue to make these looks.
It was flooding when we had the shoot. RIP the tissue paper.
We missed the studio reservation—due to the aforementioned flooding—so we scouted around campus for a plain wall.
